Washing Machine Repair questions.
Why is my washing machine not draining?
The usual causes are a clogged drain pump filter, a sock or coin lodged in the pump, a failed drain pump, or a kinked drain hose. On front-loaders, clearing the pump filter is often the whole fix. If the pump motor has failed we replace it on the same visit.
Is it worth fixing a washer that is leaking?
Usually yes. Leaks are most often a worn door boot, a cracked hose or a failed inlet valve, all far cheaper than a new machine. A leaking tub seal or drum bearing on an older washer is the main case where replacement can make more sense.
Do you repair stacked and all-in-one washer-dryer units?
Yes. We repair stacked laundry centers and all-in-one ventless washer-dryers from Miele, Bosch, LG, Samsung and Whirlpool, including the compact 24-inch units common in Orange County condos.
Why does my front-load washer smell?
Moisture trapped behind the door boot and in the detergent drawer grows biofilm. A deep clean of the boot, drawer and drain pump filter resolves it, and leaving the door ajar between loads keeps it from returning.
