Dryer Repair questions.

Why is my dryer running but not heating?

On electric dryers this is usually a blown thermal fuse, a failed heating element or a tripped high-limit thermostat, and a clogged vent is what trips all three. On gas dryers it is typically a failed igniter or gas valve coils. We check the vent on every heating call, because restricted airflow causes repeat failures.

How often should dryer vents be cleaned?

At least once a year for a typical household, and every six months for large families or long vent runs. Lint-clogged vents cause long dry times and overheating, and they are the leading cause of residential dryer fires according to the U.S. Fire Administration.

Do you repair both gas and electric dryers?

Yes. Our technicians work on gas and 240V electric dryers, including Miele, Bosch, Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, Maytag and KitchenAid.

Why does my dryer take two cycles to dry one load?

Nine times out of ten it is airflow rather than heat. A lint-packed vent run, a crushed flexible duct behind the machine or a blocked lint screen all cut drying performance long before any part fails.
